Sometimes therapy cannot happen in the office for one reason or another. For example, people might live too far away to come to my office to work with me in-person. While in-person sessions are usually best, many people are helped via telephone or online therapy, such as with Skype, Zoom, or another platform.
Lately, as of March 2020, nearly all therapy is happening by phone or online, because of the shelter-at-home order that’s now in place to control the spread of the coronavirus.
Some people who try online or telephone therapy to in-person therapy find that they actually prefer it to the live/in-person kind, whether for convenience or for some other reason.
If you’re needing help now, please don’t hesitate to contact a therapist to arrange for your first telephone or online session.
